To be: utterly exhausted with black intellectual pieces that aren’t moving forward the discussion in any substantial way. Racial sensationalism via blog writing and internet bullying has overshadowed evolution of thought or perspective on the gravity of our systematic assimilation and the role of race in a capitalistic society that rewards both blacks and whites for the performance of “race.” we all perform identity and get paid very well in some cases to do this. Also, I’m interested in the “black people” who cosign specific kinds of behavior by specific kinds of artists where someone must have advised and encouraged the performance of blackness.
